Abstract:
A proposal is presented for a next-generation collider detector at Fermilab to undertake a comprehensive study of b- and c-quark physics, staring in the year 2005. The goals are to perform detailed tests of the Standard Model, improve our understanding of CP violation, and maximize the potential for discovery of new physics. For this, an innovative vertex detector, triggering scheme, and data-acquisition system have been designed, in order to optimize data collection free from current theoretical prejudices.
